今日はとても心地よい天気だった。気象情報は、早朝に雨の予報、それから一日晴れの予報だった。一日晴れていたため、いろいろな作業が完了できた……。新しく着手した作業や、今まで続けてきた多くの作業を終えた。多くの作業を終えてきてはいるが、まだまだたくさんの作業が必要とされている。いろいろな種類のヘルプが必要とされ、ヘルプを必要としている人々に背を向ける人は誰一人いない。もし、時間があったら、あなたのヘルプが必要だ。技術や物理的なものは何もいらない。あなたに必要なものは、北上する時間だけだ。わたしは、この地に手助けするために来たが、実際はここでいろんな意味で私自身が助けられている。自分の存在意義を見つけるたった一つの方法はここに来ることだった。あなたもここで存在意義が見つけられるだろう。すべては、正真正銘のドラマの本当のヒーローは、「時間の神」であるということである。「時間はすべての傷を癒す」
最後になりましたが、2、3日前に私たちは、美しい虹を見た。そして、わたしが日本で最後に見た虹から、長い時間が過ぎ去っていた……。その虹はわたしをほほ笑ませた。そしてわたしは今もほほ笑み続けている。復興への進歩は見られている。そして、これからも復興への進展が見られるでしょう。「あしたがある……」

Today the weather as in our favor. Weather report called rain in the early morning then clear for the entire day. As such a lot was accomplished…new projects started and existing projects completed. Although a lot of work has been done, much much much more is required. All kinds of help is needed and no one is turning away people who wants to help. So if you have the time, you are needed!!! You don’t need a skill, nor physically fit…all you need is time to come up north. I came to help but actually being here helped me in many ways and the only way to find out my meaning is to come and find out for yourself. All in all the true hero in this too-real drama is Father Time because, “Time heals all wounds.”
In closing a couple days ago we saw a beautiful rainbow and it has been a long time since I seen one in Japan and it made me smile…keep smiling. Progress is being made and more will be done, “Ashita ga aru…”
